Colton and I are hosting a pasta party on Friday evening to carbo-load our runners and celebrate a great season. I hope your runner will be able to attend! Younger runners can carpool with older runners that drive if rides are needed. Runners should be picked up between 8 and 8:30 p.m.
Your runner doesn't need to bring anything but their appetite! Please email me at whsxc07@gmail.com and let me know if your runner will be attending so I can ensure we have enough food.

Regional Meet is Saturday
Our regional meet will be held this Saturday. This may be the last meet of the season so PLEASE make every effort to come out to this event and cheer on our runners. They need your support!
Best of luck to our seniors -- Cameron Leonard, Forrest Mattox, Alexis Velasquez, Seth Watts, Erika Webb and Colton Wheatley -- as this will most likely be the last race of their high school careers. You will be missed!

Last Chance Invitational
The Last Chance Invitational will be held this Saturday in Carrollton. The bus will depart WHS promptly at 7 a.m. Please send money with your child as the bus will stop in Villa Rica for lunch on the way home from the meet.

Fundraiser this Weekend!
Sorry for the tardiness of this post!!!
The biggest fundraiser of our year is being held this weekend.
Coaches Tuttle and Forbes need the participation of each member of the cross country team this weekend to ensure things go smoothly.
Octoberfest will be held at Pettit Creek Farms from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The girl's team will collect donations at the gate and the boy's team will help parking cars. Get directions >>
If your child hasn't already confirmed a day/time with their coach, please email us at whsxc07@gmail.com to let us know when they will volunteer.

Volunteers Needed for Run at the Rock
The coaches need your help with Run at the Rock. The meet will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at WHS. There are 22-25 teams coming and we will need to be well organized which, with your help, won't be a problem!
Please email whsxc07@gmail.com if you are able to volunteer for one of the following positions and note what position(s) you are interested in:
1. Two timers (experience required)
2. Two place card givers (no experience required)
3. One Placer in the finish chute (can’t be shy because you are placing the close finishes)
4. Three Catchers in the finish chute (sweat and vomit is most likely found here)
5. Three gate keepers (no experience required)
6. Two people at packet pick up and scoring table (experience required for scoring and will need to be ready at 3:15 for packet pick up)
7. Four for parking duty
8. Two split timers (one mile and two mile)
9. Concession help
